Atlanta-born Grammy award-winning rapper Future just became a Miami resident with the purchase of a $16.3 million property on Allison Island. On the exclusive island in the city’s North Beach section, every one of the forty-nine homes is a waterfront property. “The neighborhood is already home to a significant list of high profile names and I’m sure the new owner will enjoy this incredible new modern home and his new neighbors,” said Dina Goldentayer, the Douglas Elliman agent who held the listing. The asking price of the home was reportedly $19.9 million.
At 8,897 square feet, the contemporary style seven-bedroom, eight-and-a-half-bathroom mansion has tons of space for entertaining in style. The property is divided by a courtyard into a street-facing structure for guests and a main house that faces the water. In the main house, glass walls provide ample views of the bay from the first floor and primary bedroom and bathroom upstairs. The galley-style chef’s kitchen downstairs features dark wood cabinetry and a breakfast bar and shares space with an area divided into three lounging sections and an additional place for dining.
The expansive primary bedroom contains a wet bar, a wine fridge, a tv viewing area set up with couches, and two walk-in closets. The enormous bathroom is outfitted with a free-standing bathtub, a large glass-enclosed double shower, and dual sinks. A private balcony lined with dark wood paneling spans the width of these rooms.
Future is best known for hits like “Where Ya At” and “Mask Off” and for his frequent collaborations with fellow artists like Drake, Migos, Travis Scott, DJ Khaled, and more. Variety reports that this past September, Future (real name Nayvadius DeMun Wilbur) sold the rights to his publishing catalog from 2004 to 2020 to Influence Media Partners for an eight-figure sum.
