Grammy award-winning musician Lizzo has come a long way from the months she spent living in her car. She just dropped $15 million on a luxe Beverly Hills house previously owned by her pal Harry Styles , according to Dirt.
Lizzo’s sleek new abode, which she debuted on Instagram with the caption “new background unlocked,” is a modernist treehouse-inspired structure designed by Sam Gnatovich and Alexi Rennalls of SIMO design. The husband-and-wife team bought the property from Styles, who resided on the premises from 2014 to 2016. After demolishing the original house, the duo upgraded it with a larger and more modern design that they dubbed Oak Pass, which was completed in 2019. The couple then sold it for $11 million to the current seller, Warner Records CEO Aaron Bay-Schuck.
Perched in a securely gated community on the mountains above Beverly Hills, the freshly built home holds three bedrooms and four bathrooms across 5,300 square feet. Designed to embrace its natural surroundings, the wood-paneled dwelling makes plentiful use of natural materials and contains an open-air atrium with a fig tree. A glass-walled breezeway provides access to the massive primary suite, which houses a black soapstone floating fireplace, a bespoke wood-walled dressing room, and a spa-like bathroom with a concrete soaking tub, separated from the bedroom with a marble slab wall.
Other highlights include the kitchen, which boasts a massive solid stone quartzite island and walnut cabinetry, a movie theater resembling a chic high-tech cave replete with a fireplace, multiple decks and terraces, and a 58-foot infinity pool with canyon views.
Singer, rapper, and flutist Lizzo hails from Houston, where she studied music in college. Her stint living in her Subaru came after she dropped out, but eventually, she moved to Minneapolis, where she gleaned local acclaim, even earning a co-sign from Prince. The “About Damn Time” singer relocated to an Echo Park mansion after cementing herself as a massively successful household name several years later.
