John Legend And Chrissy Teigen List New York City Home For $18 Million

Musician John Legend and model Chrissy Teigen recently put their $18 million home in New York City’s Nolita neighborhood on the market.

The home, located at 374 Broome Street, is a 19th-century landmarked building called the Brewster Carriage House.
These two penthouses span 6,200 square feet, and combined, the properties have plenty of building potential with the possibility to comfortably house six bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms.
The building is a nine-unit boutique condo conversion that was originally built in 1856.
It was the former building of Brewster and Co., a horse carriage maker.

Legend told wsj that they planned to combine the two penthouses but never got around to it, stating that “we’re going to focus our home-building energy and renovation energy on what we’re doing in L.A.” Last year, the couple sold their Beverly Hills home for $16.8 million after relocating for a more family-friendly home.

Records show the couple purchased one of the units in 2018 for around $9 million, and the other in 2020 for $7.7 million.

The two penthouses they own span half of the fifth floor and the entire sixth floor and future buyers can easily combine the two.

The unique offering allows for plenty of privacy, as well, as triple exposures to the north, south, and east. Soaring 12-foot ceilings welcome plenty of natural light, and the open-plan space includes a beautiful open kitchen, a spacious great room, and eight oversized windows with three Juliet balconies.

An elevator opens directly to the sixth floor and is connected to the fifth floor below, which could be transformed into a guest suite and media room.

There’s also 3,300 square feet of private outdoor rooftop terrace space on the sixth floor, a rarity in New York.

The terrace is landscaped with an irrigation system and gas grill.

The kitchen has been outfitted with luxury Miele appliances, bespoke custom cabinets from Amuneal, and a Cristallo natural white quartz kitchen island.

In the great room, there’s a 133-inch projector screen and a custom wine cellar under the stairs. It’s perfect for those who love to entertain.
