Jennifer Lopez Asks $42.5 Million for 8-Acre Los Angeles Estate

A theater featuring movie posters from performances by the singer and her husband Ben Affleck may be found in their approximately 14,000 square foot Bel-Air mansion.

The actress and singer Jennifer Lopez is seeking $42.5 million for her Los Angeles mansion, which includes a private lake and sandy beach, six months after she wed actor Ben Affleck.

The eight-acre home in Bel-Air, California, with its nine bedrooms and nearly 14,000 square feet is hidden behind towering gates and thick vegetation. According to listing company Carolwood Estates, the expansive grounds also include a guest cottage, a pool, a putting green, a 100-seat outdoor amphitheater, and a pagoda with a fire pit.

According to records, Ms. Lopez paid $28 million for the house in 2016 after purchasing it from actress Sela Ward and her husband, businessman Howard Sherman. An inquiry for comment was not immediately answered by Ms. Lopez’s spokesman.

According to listing materials published by Carolwood, the estate incorporates features of French Country design and uses organic materials like stone and wood. It features a home theater, a gym, a formal dining room, and a game area with a pool table. Movie posters for movies in which Ms. Lopez and Mr. Affleck have appeared are on display in the cinema. These movies include Mr. Affleck’s “Hollywoodland,” Ms. Lopez’s “Monster-in-Law,” and Ms. Lopez’s appearance with her ex-husband, Latin musician Marc Anthony, in “El Cantante.”

A magnificent staircase with wrought-iron railings, a fireplace, and a bar can all be found in the main house’s double-height living area. The room has a grand piano in one of the corners. A different library has light-colored wood paneling all throughout.

The kitchen features a rustic chandelier, a central eating island, and wood-beamed ceilings. A eating area adjacent to the kitchen is enclosed by stone walls and casement windows.

The house is one of the most expensive ones in Bel-Air that are currently on the market. It is listed by Brett Lawyer. According to real estate listing website Zillow, the area has experienced at least four sales worth more than $40 million in the last 12 months. They consist of The One, a spec home, which sold for $126 million last year.

“Shotgun Wedding,” Ms. Lopez’s most recent movie, was just released. The release of Mr. Affleck’s film “Air,” which chronicles the creation of the Air Jordan line, is scheduled for April. Mr. Affleck’s Georgia home is also included in the pair’s real estate holdings. In the past year, his own Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles, property sold for $28.5 million.
