Eric and Jessie James Decker are listing their cherished 13,375-square-foot Nashville home for $10.3 million. Built in 2011, the country singer and multifarious entrepreneur along with her former NFL wide-receiver husband bought the Ron Farris-designed Tudor contemporary for $4.25 million in 2019, telling People magazine that it would be their “forever home.” Before moving in, the couple made considerable upgrades to the six-bedroom, nine-bathroom home, which probably explains the $6 million price jump.
Located in upscale Oak Hill, the three-acre property is enveloped by dense vegetation with a manicured backyard that includes a gated pool and lounge area, a playhouse, and a basketball court.
A winding driveway and motor court lead to an oversized gothic-style front door, which opens up to the stark-white interior walls of a double-height foyer, and a long, curved staircase that takes you to either the home’s upper level or basement. A formal dining room sits at the end of a nave-inspired, groin-vaulted cathedral-like corridor which is flanked by an open-plan living room and a chef’s kitchen on either side of the hallway. Notable in the kitchen are two large islands, a feature the Dancing With The Stars contestant prioritized. “I was adamant that I have two islands in the kitchen,” the New York Times best-selling author told People, referring to the feature as “a game changer.”
Standout features of the primary suite include a round Gothic-style chandelier hanging over the bed, and a free-standing wood-beam divider that frames clear views of the striking backyard.
Other highlights include a gym on the ground floor that leads to the backyard, an enclosed porch, and a finished basement equipped with a lounge, a games and athletics area, a small section set up with wine shelves and seating for wine tastings, and a music recording room.
