Drake Is Reportedly Buying His First Home in Los Angeles Proper

Since Toronto native Drake first bought property in California, he’s been living the Valley lifestyle , out in the exclusive gated community of Hidden Hills. Now, it appears that the musician is ready for Los Angeles living. According to the LA Times, Drake is purchasing a home in the Beverly Crest neighborhood of L.A. from fellow musician Robbie Williams in an off-market deal.

The property was never listed publicly, so little is known about the appearance of the space or the particulars of the deal, though the LA Times reports that Drake is paying approximately $50 million. The space is 20,000 square feet, palatial by just about anyone’s standards though still less than half the size of  the Grammy winner’s Toronto home . Inside, a wine cellar, gym, and game room can be found, along with a handy 11-car garage should Drake have a luxury vehicle collection that needs storing. It would be no surprise if the musician drastically renovated the 10 bedroom, 22 bathroom home, as he’s used to ultra-custom environs in his Canadian dwelling, which he built with architectural and interior designer Ferris Rafauli.

For someone as busy as Drake, a place to totally unwind is essential, so a comfortable bedroom was a must. “The bedroom is where I come to decompress from the world at the end of the night and where I open my eyes to seize the day,” he told AD during a tour of his Toronto home in 2020.“The bed lets you float, the shower lets you escape and gather your thoughts, and the closet makes you want to talk to yourself while you’re getting dressed.” We hope he can find this same peace in Beverly Crest.
